rom a shared sense of ownership and a communal desire to let nature’s abundance flow, the Project NatureConnect community has sustained the program’s open door policy for over 25 years.
In order to keep tuition affordable, students perform duties that Project NatureConnect would otherwise hire someone to perform. According to their attractions, talents and skills, students take responsibility for much of their own record-keeping, and participate in creative cooperative management of the systems of day-to-day program operations. As a result, administrative red tape is kept to a minimum.
Students see opportunities to volunteer as opportunities for their own growth and learning. They see volunteering in the community as an opportunity to play a role in the development and evolution of Project NatureConnect and the science of Applied Ecopsychology. They participate at every level of the organization, helping to implement, sustain, and evolve the organization and the community as a shared practice of the Webstring Model of Applied Ecopsychology and the Natural Systems Thinking Process.
Students are excited to participate in a demonstration of nature’s ability to feed the community through mutually beneficial, attraction-led interdependent relationships. They feel grateful for the invitation to share their unique gifts in creative ways.
